Update 1.2.2
This update makes several more balance changes to charged attacks, armor, abilites, and weapons, as well as fixing several bugs, including a critical bug that would not allow users to log in.
Additions
- Added double ingot hours on Saturdays that take place every four hours.
Changes
- All armors except for leather have had their movement speed reduction reduced to decrease the difference between movement speeds in heavy armor.
- The lorica hamata's passive ability now increases ability durations by 25% instead of a flat two seconds.
- The lorica hamata now has 2% more blunt resistance.
- The greatsword now has 5% instinctive guard against spears instead of axes.
- Thrown daggers no longer ignore armor resistance.
- Charge has been reworked to have a 3 second duration and a 15 second cooldown to allow more frequent bursts of speed.
- Might of mars' cooldown has been increased by 5 seconds.
- The cooldown between charged attacks is now a global cooldown instead of being tied to each weapon.
- The charge time for dagger charged attacks has been decreased by half a second.
- Switched the ingot and xp rewards for survival and guardian waves.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a critical bug where you were unable to enter your password in the login screen.
- Fixed a bug where the game wouldn't notify you of updates before logging in.
- Attempted to fix a bug related to ingot bonuses at the end of a wave.
- Fixed a bug where an ability would start its cooldown timer before it deactivated.

This is a quick patch to fix a bug related to text boxes.

Update 1.2
This update aims to address several balance issues with the game, as well as making some changes based on community feedback. Daggers have been nerfed, and several abilities have been signifficantly buffed. We've also implemented wall tones to make navigation easier, and two new translations have been added as well. We have also adjusted ingot payouts in arena to put it on parr with the rest of the game modes.
Additions
- Added a wal tones option in accessibility settings. Enabling this will play beeps as you take steps and approach a wall.
- Added a confirmation prompt before exiting the game from the main menu.
- Added the Spanish translation.
- Added the simplified Chinese translation.
- The game now tells you how long you are muted or banned for.
- The server now kicks you if you have been inactive for 15 minutes.
- The text input now allows you to navigate by word, and it should support nonenglish characters better now.
Changes
- The might of mars ability now heals your shield when you land a successful bash while it is active, and its cooldown has been reduced by 15 seconds.
- Testudo's duration has been increased by 2 seconds, and its description has been updated.
- Decreased mighty slam's cooldown by 10 seconds.
- Decreased charge's cooldown by 5 seconds.
- The pugio now has 5% instinctive guard against daggers.
- The pilum's range has been increased to 7.5, and its damage has been increased by 5.
- The maul's sweep angle has been increased by 1.
- The war hammer's sweep angle has been increased by 2.
- The flail's sweep angle has been decreased by 1.
- Increased the cooldown between charged attacks by 2 seconds.
- Increased the time to full charge on a dagger charged attack by 1 second.
- You now gain 150 health instead of 250 when you get a kill in arena.
- The bonus ingots for arena kills now are added every 3 instead of 5 killls, and it now caps at 8 instead of 6 ingots per kill.
- Eras now last for 90 days instead of 30.
- Updated the Vietnamese and Polish translations.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed some bugs when trying to translate the help menu.
Update 1.1
After a week of Blades of Glory being live, we are ready to make several additions and changes based on community feedback. This update reduces the starting health to 1000 in order to speed up combat. We have heard several players say that combat was too slow, so we are making this change to address that. Note: This is an experimental change, and we will be monitoring its effects on the game to determine if any further adjustments need to be made. This update also introduces private messages, two new translations, and a multitude of changes to weapons and abilities.
Additions
- Added a Pm system. Send a private message to a player through the players menu, and press grav accent by default to reply to the last PM.
- Added an option in the main menu to open the leaderboard.
- Added an option under help and feedback to open the patch notes.
- Added the Polish translation (translated by Patricus).
- Added the Vietnamese translation (translated by Trung).
- Added several new strings to the translation template.
Changes
- The starting health has been reduced to 1000 to speed up combat.
- Bonus ingots are now awarded for every five kills instead of three in arena.
- Capped the amount of ingots you can earn per arena kill to six.
- The Spatha's minimum damage has been increased from 110 to 115, its sweep angle has been increased from 22 to 25, and its atack speed has increased from 1.8 to 1.9.
- The Rondel's damage has been decreased by 20.
- The War Hammer's damage has been decreased by 10, and its attack speed has been increased to 1.1.
- Berserk's cooldown has been increased from 30 to 45 seconds.
- Mighty Slam's duration has been increased from 6 to 8 seconds.
- Charge's duration has been increased from 4 to 5 seconds.
- Juggernaut's cooldown has been decreased from 50 to 45 seconds, and its duration has been decreased from 8 to 6 seconds.
- Testudo's duration has been increased from 4 to 5 seconds.
- The Enduring Defense passive ability on iron scale armor now gives +15 to shield repair rate instead of +10.
- The mace charged attack now deals 1.5x damage instead of 2x at full charge.
- The axe charged attack now deals a maximum of 500 damage instead of 800.
- Daggers can now only be thrown 10 tiles instead of 15.
- Bleeding now does 10 damage per second instead of 15 because of the health drop.
- The damage of tactical items has been reduced by about 50%.
- The damage of all enemies in legends has been dropped by 50% to accommodate the health hchanges.
- Jupiter's lightning attack has had its ranged reduced from 20 to 15.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where strings in the profile would not translate properly.
- Fixed a bug where the legends next wave information didn't translate properly.
- Fixed a bug where you could send chats and arena chats if you had them disabled.
- Fixed a client crash that could occur when players entered or exited the arena right after attacking or being attacked.
Balance Update 08/05/2025
This update addresses several balance issues that we noticed during the first few days. We've slightly nerfed the broad axe and thrown daggers, as these were used a little too heavily in combat. We've also increased the amount of ingots gained in both arena and legends, and rebalanced several of the enemies in legends to make them more fair. The guardian wave has also made a return with some minor adjustments to make it more manageable in large groups.
Changes
- You now earn extra ingots in arena when you kill a player and you are on a kill streak of three or more.
- All of the legends waves now award signifficantly more ingots.
- The broad axe has had its range decreased to 5.5.
- The duration of bleding caused by thrown daggers has been reduced by one second (17%).
- The damage caused by bleeding each second has been reduced by 5 (25%).
- The kite shield's bash damage has been reduced from 110 to 90 (19%).
- The buckler's bash damage has been increased from 70 to 80 (13%).
- Gryphons' health has been reduced by 500 (17%).
- Centaurs' movement speed has been reduced by 7%.
- The hydra now launches one less attack per series, and its attacks deal 50 less damage.
- Jupiter's base health has been increased by 1000 (20%), while his extra health per player has been reduced by 2000 (40%) to give him less health in large groups.
- Guardian waves have been reenabled.
- The guardian's health has been reduced by 500 (15%) per player.
- The guardian now spawns fewer enemies in waves with more than four players.
